{"id":10408,"date":"2018-04-17T03:08:27","date_gmt":"2018-04-17T03:08:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/elalmadelaluna.com\/dt_team\/selene-pringle\/"},"modified":"2025-05-30T23:02:45","modified_gmt":"2025-05-30T23:02:45","slug":"selene-pringle-2","status":"publish","type":"dt_team","link":"https:\/\/elalmadelaluna.com\/en\/dt_team\/selene-pringle-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Selene Pringle"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Co-Director, Choreographer, Dancer and Dance Teacher Born in Mexico City, she began taking ballet classes at the age of 3 at Bellas Artes Mexico and studied folkloric dance from the age of 8 to 15 at the Casa de Cultura in the state of Mexico. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During her adolescence, she continued practicing ballet and contemporary dance with one of UNAM&#8217;s teachers and choreographers, as well as modern dance and gymnastics at INENIB in the state of Mexico. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Moving to the United States at the age of 18, she continued to look for ways to pursue her passion by taking classes, workshops and conventions. It wasn&#8217;t until her sister Alma showed an interest in dance that she realized that the city of Charlotte did not have a bilingual school that would showcase Latin American dance and technique. Her siblings Alma Campuzano and David Stafford became her very first students, whilst taking the discipline very seriously and rehearsing five days a week. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Over time, acquaintances and friends showed interest and the classes began to expand.
